Grange pays tribute to Wya Lindo

Kingston, September 7, 2017 – The Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport, the Honourable Olivia Grange, has expressed sadness at the passing of Earl 'Wya' Lindo, keyboard player for Bob Marley and the Wailers.

Minister Grange described Lindo as "an exceptionally gifted musician who played a pivotal role alongside Bob Marley and the Wailers in the global success of Jamaica's Reggae music."

Minister Grange said that with Lindo's passing, "Jamaica had lost another giant of the music business," noting that "Wya was one of the best keyboard players" that the island had produced.

The Culture Minister has offered condolences to Lindo's family and friends in this time of bereavement.
