Grange Congratulates the Sunshine Girls on Historic Series Win in New Zealand

The Honourable Olivia Grange, Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport has congratulated the Sunshine Girls on their winning of the recently played 4-nation Netball Series in New Zealand.

Miss Grange said it was great that the Sunshine Girls created history by winning the Quad series for the first time and also beating the New Zealand Silver Ferns twice to win the Taini Jamison Trophy.

“The victory was even sweeter since the Silver Ferns are the number two ranked Netball team in the world. It augurs well for us in the Commonwealth Games which start in Australia in a couple of weeks,” Minister Grange said.

The Malawi Queens placed third in the four-nation Series after beating the Fiji Pearls.

We place people at the heart of everything we do.

We believe that culture is the great equaliser and transformer that makes ordinary men and women great.

We believe that gender equality is essential in a modern society.

We believe that an entertained person is a happy person and happy persons make happy societies.

We believe that physical activity enhances lives and sport is the medicine that heals and corrects.
