Kingston, 15 July 2026 (JIS) - The official funeral for the late Professor the Honourable Oswald Gaskell Harding will be held on July 27 at the University Chapel, University of the West Indies Mona Campus in St. Andrew.

The Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport, the Honourable Olivia Grange, made the disclosure during the sitting of the House of Representatives on Tuesday (July 14).

Professor Harding, the longest-serving senator in Jamaica’s history and the first person to serve two non-consecutive terms as President of the Senate, died on June 24.
