Kingston, 25 March 2022 – The Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport, the Honourable Olivia Grange, is on official business in Canada.

Minister Grange will on Saturday launch a series of activities in Toronto to celebrate Jamaica’s 60th anniversary of independence.

The launch will take place at the Toronto Event Centre, beginning at 6pm.

The Minister of Tourism, the Honourable Edmund Bartlett, will also attend the launch event which will feature a video message from the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Senator the Honourable Kamina Johnson Smith.

Minister Grange will also participate in the Jamaica 60 Canada church service on Sunday morning at the Praise Cathedral Worship Centre in Mississauga.

The global celebration of Jamaica 60 is being held under the theme ‘Re-igniting a Nation for Greatness’.
