Kingston, 12 December 2025 – A major Reggae concert will be held in South Florida in January to raise funds to support Jamaica’s hurricane recovery programme.

The event dubbed ‘Stay Strong Jamaica’ will take place on January 2, 2026 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, Florida. It will feature some of Jamaica’s leading entertainers including Shaggy, Julian Marley, Marcia Griffiths, Wayne Wonder, Inner Circle, Third World, Wailers, I-Octane, Etana, Tee Jay and Shuga.

Chief Operating Officer of Seminole Gaming, David Hoenemeyer, said “100 percent of net proceeds will directly benefit recovery efforts, helping families and communities rebuild with hope and dignity” via the Hard Rock Heals Foundation.

The Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport, the Honourable Olivia Grange, said ‘Stay Strong Jamaica’ is part of the I Love Jamaica initiative under which concerts are being hosted in major cities across the world with the aim of raising funds to support the national hurricane recovery effort.

Minister Grange thanked the entertainment community for “being there for Jamaica” adding that “this concert will contribute funds to the rebuilding process, but more than anything else, it will lift the spirits of the Jamaican people.”

In the meantime, another star-studded fund-raising concert dubbed ‘Jamaica Strong’ is being held at UBS Arena in New York this evening. The ‘Jamaica Strong’ benefit concert aims to raise one million US dollars and will be broadcast live on Prime Video starting at 8:45pm.
