Kingston, 28 June 2022 - The Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport, the Honourable Olivia Grange, has welcomed Permanent Secretary Dean-Roy Bernard to the Ministry.

Mr. Bernard joins the Ministry on Wednesday (June 28) in the newly created post of Supernumerary Permanent Secretary and is now part of the leadership team that includes Permanent Secretary, Denzil Thorpe.

Mr. Thorpe has warmly welcomed Mr Bernard to the team.

The Minister of Finance and the Public Service, Dr. the Honourable Nigel Clarke, had announced Mr Bernard’s new assignment as the House of Representatives approved the Civil Service Establishment General Order of 2023, on Tuesday (June 27).

The Order outlines the reorganisation of Ministries and Departments consequent on the creation of new posts, the abolition of previous posts and the reclassification, upgrade and retitling of existing posts.
